Belkin Slim Backpack (Black/Light Gray)

Comment: I have a 16 inch Toshiba Satellite laptop and I was worried it wouldn't fit after reading that the backpack was for 15.4 inch laptops, but it fits well and still leaves room for a textbook or a binder/a few notebooks. The laptop partition is lined with really soft velour so it doesn't scratch your computer. The straps are thick and softly padded and it feels incredibly comfortable on your shoulders. I got this for college, and some days when I don't need to carry my laptop, I use it for books and everything else. I can fit a 4 pack of highlighters, an 8 pack of pens, a few stacks of Post-Its, some roll-on White Out, some pencils, and some more stuff. When I'm not using it to carry my computer, I can fit about two 300 page textbooks or two 1 1/2" binders, or a 1 inch binder and a book. I'm surprised at how much this backpack can actually fit and still look as slim as it does. The front has two zippered compartments that I use to put my mp3 player in and a small book I may be reading for English, or a composition notebook. I really like the cell phone pouch on the right strap and I use it often. It's a super thin, super durable backpack. Don't be hesitant to get it!

Comment: Whether or not it will work for you will totally depend on what your intended use for it is. I bought it to get myself through my last two semesters of college and to hopefully carry over into the "professional" world after I graduate.

First off, they had minimalism in mind when they designed this pack... it's definitely a slim/simple backpack! When I first opened the box, my first thought was "it's too small.. it's going back." I decided to mess around with it a bit to see what all it would fit, and well, I changed my mind. Keep in mind, I'm a CIS student, so normally all I need is a binder with paper and my laptop. If you're a student who has to carry a ton of stuff in your pack, this one isn't for you.

I have a 15inch MacBook Pro that fits great in the pack. The "felt" type liner in the laptop compartment is super-nice. Organization is a big deal for me, so I like all of the little sections/pockets and such inside the pack. I was able to fit my MacBook Pro (while in it's InCase sleeve), a 1 1/2 inch notebook and a small text book. All of that was a pretty tight fit and made the bag a little odd shaped.. but it's not really meant to carry that sort of stuff. So I'll be buying a couple of 1/2 inch or 1 inch binders to change out so I'm not stuffing too much in the pack. It comes with a little pouch that can be removed from the pack (it's just a little zippered pouch like you'd see for carrying pens or something). I took it out and it will probably stay out. Just seems to be in the way.

It has two very nice-sized pockets on the front of the pack for storing a power block/whatever/small accessories you need. In one is a sub-compartment for an iPod or other MP3 player and it has a place to put your headphones through to the outside of the pack. Also, the right shoulder strap has a cell phone (or whatever else will fit) pocket on it.

I can't vouch for durability yet; I've only had it a couple of days. But at the price Amazon has it at, you can't beat it! It's even $2 cheaper today that it was last week when I ordered it (go figure).

So if you're in the market for a compact, nice laptop backpack, try this one out. Again, at its current price (compared to its original price), you don't have much to lose!

Comment: Its been 2 years, that i have been using this bag and I still love it. Its a great piece for college students and extremely good for laptops.
The only thing to keep in mind while buying Belkin bags is to prefer a darker shade. As the lighter colored bag, will easily get dirty. I have the red and black color and its just wonderful.
The straps are very comfortable. My back does not hurt, even while carrying it for long hours. In all, this is a stylish and a comfortable bag, which is not to be missed.

I have several backpacks and this one beats them all. The overall look and appearence is awsome. Very low profile and fits my laptop with ease. Also, I do not look like a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" with this on. Top quality product that appears will last for years.

Comment: Bought the back pad to use on motorcycle rides (superbike). It's easy to use, light weight and works great for carrying an IPAD on a back road ride. Will carry all you need for a day ride without feeling bulky or causing wind drag while riding. Looks great too.
