Summary: A Bag Man's Dream Come True 2010-02-05
Comment: I purchased this for my husband, who we affectionately call the Bag Man. He can't go past a camera/ gadget bag without trying to come up with a good reason to buy one. He travels frequently with his Asus EEE PC (8.9 inch), Ipod, cellphone, associated ac and car adaptors. He was thrilled and amazed how it could be packed into this one little bag along with his itenary and plane tickets. Other travellers have asked where they can get one.

Comment: This holds my IeeePC netbook perfectly and has plenty of space for cables, mouse, etc.

Summary: Great for Acer AOD250 2010-01-10
Comment: I purchased this specifically for my Acer AOD250 netbook. The netbook fits perfectly with the standard 3 cell battery. There is also room for the power cord without adding a lot of bulge to the bag. It has plenty of room for other gadgets such as cellphones, ipods, etc. I searched for a long time to find what I thought would be the best portable protection solution for me. I thought about just getting a sleeve, but I also wanted to carry my power cord without having to stuff it into a tight space. With this I am able to carry pens, my cell phone, my itouch, GTD paperback book, USB thumb drives, and a small yellow legal pad. I truly enjoy this bag. I am a gadget lover and a "bag" lover, and I love this bag. I would have given it 4 stars if the computer compartment had a soft lining so as not to potentially scratch any glossy fingertip prone netbook cases. My netbook is glossy but I have not had any scratches yet, and I don't think I will. Adding a soft liner would just be a nice touch to an otherwise perfect bag.

Summary: Excellent bag 2010-01-05
Comment: I wanted a bag that would double as a purse when needed so I wouldn't have to lug two bags around. This fit the bill. It holds plenty of stuff. I have had my Zune, phone, external HD, Gateway N270 netbook, and the power cord all in there with no bulges. The power cord for the Gateway is bulky too. I did find that I had to put the cord in the same pocket as the computer, otherwise it would bulge.
The neck strap is adjustable, and while others didn't like the odd angle, I thought it worked well for putting it diagonally across my body. Only complaint is that the neck strap is a bit rough. I'm wearing winter coats now, so not too noticable, but might chafe against bare skin.

Summary: Great for only a Netbook, no other gear. 2009-12-31
Comment: I purchased three different sizes of these eSling bags and returned two. I purchased the small XNTM-1, the medium XNTM-3, and the large XNTM-4. My goal was to find a vertical style briefcase replacement that could carry a netbook, my point-n-shoot digital camera, a small video camera and an audio recorder. I like the vertical format of these bags, they hang better from the shoulder than a wider messenger bag or briefcase.
This medium sized version 3 carried my EEE PC Seashell netbook just fine, but the front compartment is very thin and did not give me enough room for my other gear. It could easily hold a cell phone or small notebook like a steno pad or other flat items. It can't hold a copy of Travel & Leisure magazine. The magazine could just fit in the front slip in pocket that is secured with a magnetic closure. The larger XNTM-4 easily held all this and more.
My netbook fits perfectly but anything larger than appx 10x7x1.5 wouldn't. I would also note that the protective padding in this version is pretty thin when compared to the XNTM-4 case.
For the price this is a pretty good netbook only bag. If your looking for a better constructed bag I would suggest the Tumi Alpha Travel Totes for between 150-200$. They don't have the dedicated computer pocket, but the construction is rock solid.
Improvements I would suggest for all of these eSling bags would include better quailty zippers and if the back velcro pocket was replaced with a sleeve that would allow you to slip the bag over your luggage handle.
