I bought this for my HP Pavilion TX1000 12.1" Notebook computer.
Let me first start with the fit. This computer barely fits in the bag, and only fits if you have the smaller 4 cell battery(the 6 sell is the standard battery). It will fit with the 6 cell if you don't use the detachable notebook sleeve, though with out that there isn't much protection for the laptop. More on that later. The other problem with fit is that this is a top loading bag and with the laptop in the sleeve its a little hard to squeeze the zipper closed. All that said, with the 4 cell on the laptop, I can fit the extra 6 cell in the case with no problem. Also I keep in mine a wireless mouse and the power cord. It all fits just a little tight.
The bag it's self is a work of art, very slick looking. The fake leather is only on the front pocket and around the zipper. It's nice for the fake stuff, at first I wasn't sure it was fake. The rest is some sort of fabric. In side there are three side compartments, one side has a mesh pocket on the bottom and a zippered pocket on top of that. The other side has a Velcro pocket. Lots of pockets.
The quality of workmanship seems to be very good, the zippers work nice. It is made in china, but isn't everything.
It says "Foran" everywhere, on the zippers, on the strap, on the included key chain, on the lining of the bag and the sleeve (same material). Even on a little plaque inside the bag.
The only down side I can see to this bag is that it wont protect the laptop much if it gets dropped. The sides and the bottom have padding, the ends where the straps come out do not. But the padding isn't much about a ¼" thick. Well that and it's a really tight fit.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a stylish bag for their 12.1" laptop and isn't too concerned with padding.
