Summary: The perfect laptop bag 2008-03-25
Comment: I have a bit of a reputation as a "bag" person. It's not uncommon for me to take up a considerable amount of trunk space when going out of town with separate bags for my clothes, workout clothes, laptop, etc., but I always have one special bag that travels in the front seat or within arms reach in the back seat during all road trips. It's sort of my "emergency/boredom bag" and has been known to carry everything from Tylenol to Sudoku books to a Leatherman.
In the past, this bag has commonly been a backpack, until about a year ago when I upgraded to a leather briefcase, yet still continued to carry my backpack to accommodate whatever excess that would not fit into my briefcase. Needless to say, neither the backpack or the briefcase could completely carry everything, not to mention the inconvenience of digging around in the bottom of the pockets trying to find what I need. Not exactly safe behavior when you're behind the wheel of a car.
I purchased the Kensington 62220 last month after much research and after my leather briefcase was ill equipped to handle the wear and tear from my excessively toting it around. Thus far, the Kensington briefcase has been, by far, the best "bag" I've ever owned. Not only does it have enough room to hold my laptop (Dell Vostro 1400 with 14" widescreen), Bible, laptop mouse, laptop adapter, inhaler, glasses case, Leatherman, MP3 player, small contact lens solution, and assortment of other small necessary items, but it also has several compartments and pockets to keep it all separated so I can find it in a matter of seconds. That's not to mention the ergonomic comfort of the handle and curved back of the bag. I would definitely recommend. I constantly brag about the bag to my wife, who isn't so excited considering that she bought me the worn out leather briefcase as a gift for my new job :)

Summary: A great case 2008-03-24
Comment: This is the case you've been looking for. Lots of well designed pockets. The smaller pocket on the top for badges, tickets, passport or phone is really nice. The handles are great. These plastic molded handles really carry the case nicely...they are soooo much better than fabric handles. The curved back is nice, but to be honest I can't say as I feel any ergonomic difference or not. Carries my 13" laptop and peripherals effortlessly. The base, at 8" wide sits up really well and may be the first bag I've had in some time that doesn't want to tip over. I couldn't give this five stars only because it is 1" too tall. If Kensington chopped 1" off the height it would fit better in an airline bin or under the seat. It's ok, you just need to tip it a bit to get it in, then turn upright. All in all, a nice case that has good eye appeal.

Comment: After about a month I can say that this bag satisfies all my needs. I moved from a larger wheeled bag, and this on has lots of space and a place for everything. Highly recommended.

Summary: not too thrilled 2008-01-12
Comment: not recommended for women. too heavy and bulky. great space, but not lady like at all. try the targus laptop blacktop case with dome protection. same space lightweight more appealing look and style. I'm very pleased with this one instead.

Summary: nice 2007-04-02
Comment: Hands down the best laptop case I have ever used. Very comfortable, plenty of room, and when expanded all the way and full it will JUST fit under the seat on an airplane. Good padding for laptop also. The handle is also amazingly comfortable.
