Summary: Works Great! 2008-11-09
Comment: I think the new Kensington 62348 Contour Roller Carrying Case is great! It holds my 17 inch laptop with ease and has several individual compartments for the charger, cables, mouse, etc.

The longer handle really is nice too. I can actually pull it 'behind' me without bending over like I've had to do with several other roll-a-board cases I've had or tried.

The wheels located on the extreme corners certainly help keep it more stable while rolling than others that have the wheels closer together.

Summary: Worst Case Ever!!! 2008-11-03
Comment: Ordered for work and school use, this is the worst rolling case I have every owned. The "new spell" is horrible, makes you wonder if that alone is a health hazard. The case is big and bulky with my laptop, appointment pad for work, as well as 4 class books (2 are approx. 1/2-in thick; 2 are approx. 1-in thick)and a notebook. I had used the case for less than 2 weeks when the wheels began to look as if they were 6 months old. The wheels are not "smooth rolling" as the description indicated. Instead, you get a rough feel and the wheels began to peel around the center and the outside. I also began to notice that the bag was coming apart at the seams, even though the case itself was not overstuffed.

I would send this awful case back. However, due to my schedule being so full I haven't had the time to pack and ship the darn thing; and have missed the November 3rd. I lost $30 in shipping fees and $70 + dollars for the cost of the bag. Great for Amazon.... really sucks for me!!!

Summary: Highly recommended 2008-10-31
Comment: I needed a case that could handle a lot of papers, books, and a 15" computer, and still be easily maneuvered through a busy environment. I haven't been disappointed. Every time I think I might overload a compartment, it handles the volume easily. I love the paded computer compartment. There are lots of storage pockets of different sizes that couldn't be seen in the product description photos that were a pleasant surprise. I have a bad shoulder so I was specifically looking for a rolling bag. It handles well and is very comfortable to carry, when necessary. I am hoping it has a long life.

Summary: An excellent buy 2008-10-18
Comment: This Carrying Case was a REALLY good buy. My fiance was developing problems and pains from carrying her standard laptop bag around (it's cluttered with all kinds of crap so it was heavy). I bought this for her and she ABSOLUTELY loves it. Here's a summary of what I think -

THE GOOD
The pull-handle is very nice and easily extended. The grip is great and there's a certain maneuverability that the design has with the single extendable piece as opposed to those with the double extendable piece with the cross-bar. The pull-handle can retract into its own space and be zipped over to be totally hidden, very neat. The regular carrying handles are great and ergonomic, they even slot into each other for a comfortable carry. The strap that comes with it is great and sturdy and if you do have to carry it that way it braces against your back in a really comfortable way. The compartments are awesome and many, especially where the laptop itself goes. To be honest I haven't tried this yet but it even seems the padding section that the laptop slides into can be removed and used as a lap guard.

THE NOT SO GOOD
Ok, the first thing that hit me and I was worried my Fiance wouldn't like this is that I envisioned it being a little smaller, but once we loaded it up, it turned out to be just fine and actually couldn't be any smaller unless you only planned to use a 14" screen laptop. This isn't a big deal.

The other thing (that shouldn't really be under this section), is that the little blue wheels struck me as potentially cheap and I was worried that they'd come off in the first week. They turned out to be VERY sturdy and actually the wheel design is very unique, more like roller blades that helps the rolling action of the bag. It could just me but the colour blue they used may give that first impression.

Summary: Better Than I Expected 2008-10-12
Comment: If you are a teacher, do yourself a favor and buy this bag. I teach adult education. I eventually grew tired of lugging all my stuff in a heavy briefcase that lacked organization pockets and the room to fit all that I wanted to carry. Then I found this bag. It is now become my office on wheels. It has blimped out with all the things I have stuffed into it, yet it still has room for more.

Occassionally the water bottle in the water bottle holster will snag as I round a tight corner. I curse but then I roll on merrily, knowing it is not the bag's fault.

A co-worker had seen me with my new bag and had asked me about its merits. Now he, too, walks around smiling with a Contour Roller Carrying Case.
