Summary: Light secure travel companion for the notebook 2007-01-20
Comment: Constructed with a nylon shell, this case is durable. The strap has a pad consisting of the same memory foam that encases your notebook for comfort. Carrying the case is comfortable using the strap or handles. This is a top loading carrying case which is easy to get the notebook in and out easily. The carry strap is on the top of the case and bridges across both 'leaves' of the case to distribute the weight.
The compartments in the front are 'tight' meaning that not much can be placed into them - being composed of nylon, there is no elasticity. A full length divider on the exterior can hold a small file folder or a thin magazine. Space for a spare battery AND a plug would be pushing it to capacity. I don't use an external mouse but it would be uncomfortable for the 'little critter'.
A keyring is present for your keys. Note this case is for a minimalist looking to go light - not carry everything in his or her office.
The foam is soft and will reduce the shocks of daily use. The construction of the zippers is solid - as is the carrying strap.
The design comes in a black and charcoal color scheme - sorry, no other colors exist.
It accomodates up to a 15 inch notebook but my notebook is a 14.1" widescreen which fits well and there is some room to spare.
Overall, I am happy with this case which is lightweight and is a refreshing change from the heavier leather bags and notebook backpacks that are on the market.
