Summary: Excellent 15" inch Laptop bag. Too bad it is meant for 17" too. 2008-11-09
Comment: Really I shouldn't be reviewing this bag since I ordered the backpack version after reading the other reviews about the spacing for a 17" laptop. However Amazon sent the wrong one and due to geographical differences the logistics of me returning it would be ridiculous so I kept it.
Anyways the bag itself is great, fantastic quality, fully padded, loads of extra little pockets and pouches to keep your mouse /CD's etc. This fits my 15" HP work laptop just fine, however it is suppose to fit up to 17" according to the description which it does not. I have a Dell M1730, I know this is a big laptop but you would have thought being an Alienware product they would have taken this into account. Inside the bag there are two compartments one has got CD holders and small pouches in to hold external HDD or mouse and the other is the padded area where the laptop should go. I have tried forcing it in but I can get no more than 5 or so inches in before it just doesn't budge, and in any case you shouldn't have to force it in and even if I were to be able to get it in how do I get it out?
In the end I just put it in the second compartment where all your accessories are suppose to go, it is still padded enough around the rest of the bag to not worry me about damage to the laptop, but this still doesn't take away from the fact that I can't use the correct area.
In conclusion if you have a 15" laptop go for this you won't regret it and if you have a 17" then look for the newer Alienware bag called the Orion, it can fit 2 17" laptops and it has the all important carry handle.

Summary: Not enough space for lap top 2008-09-01
Comment: I loved the lap top case as it had compartments for all my supplies. I had to send it back though because I have an Alien lap top and it did not fit right in the Alien lap top carrier. I had to force it in the carrier. I did not want to scratch my lap top so I am looking for something with more space. If you have a small lap top, 14 or 15 inch, this would be perfect.

Summary: Not the best for a 17 inch screen. 2008-08-07
Comment: Nice product, but my 17 inch alienware laptop does not fit in the designated area, and when i force it, it is near impossible to get the computer back out.
You can put it in the inside of the bag, outside of the laptop compartment, but this keeps you from being able to use all the little compartments, for fear of smashing their contents or scratching up your computer.
If you say it will fit a 17 inch laptop, it should fit.

Summary: Need to Get a Grip 2008-01-18
Comment: I love the look and styling of this bag, there is a considerable amount of (padding) protection built in for my Dell laptop computer and lots of pockets inside and out. With the laptop stowed away in its internal pouch there is still room for a couple of books and some miscellaneous files. There are pockets inside for your computer power supply, DVD's, and various cords, etc. There is even a special pocket on the outside for pens, business cards, and your personal music player. It is to early for me to comment on the durability of this bag since it has only seen a half dozen trips to the airport thus far, however, I will say the overall bag construction appears solid and well made. At this point (in my opinion) we come to the one glaring functional omission on this bag - "NO CARRYING HANDLE". When the bag is loaded up and you try to grab it in a hurry there isn't any good place to get a hold of it. Grabbing it by the shoulder strap is awkward and clumsy. If there would have been a carrying handle on top then I could have rated this bag 4-5 stars, but since it is lacking that one critical feature I had to give this bag only 3 stars. If you could care less about the carrying handle then this may be the ideal bag for you. Hey! If you Alienware guys are listening, "Add a carrying handle to this messenger bag!". You will make frequent business travelers like myself a bit more happy and make your bag a lot more functional. That is my two cents on this bag, take my comments for what they are worth to you. Summary: Christmas hit! 2008-01-03
Comment: Bought this for my boyfriend who is a computer geek and also a VEGAN. His computer is huge and he always has gadgets and cords falling out of his old bag. This bag fits his requirements both technically and is vegan friendly. From a girlfriends view: the bag is still big but nothing sticks out or falls out, really comfortable, distributes weight nicely and the bag looks a little neirdy as opposed to professional. He loves it!
