Summary: Mobile Edge MEBPW1 Paris Backpack 2008-08-11
Comment: This backpack was a much-needed change from my traditional laptop bags. I travel quite a bit, and this bag was extremely comfortable. The straps are wide and cushioned, and it never felt like I was carrying a heavy load. I love the separate compartments that allow me to carry files, etc. I also love that my notebook has its own compartment, so I don't have to remove everything along with it when I go through airport security. The only negative is that there are no outside pockets, so things like keys, wallet, phone, etc. are noteasily accessible. I have to take the bag off my shoulders, undo the clasp, and unzip the compartment just to reach even the smallest item.

Summary: Nice but big for a macbook 13 in. 2008-02-23
Comment: I actually lucked out by finding this bag at Circuit City on clearance! I picked it up for 34 dollars. I had researched this bag on amazon first and by an odd stroke of luck found the bag at Circuit City on clearance the next day.
The two tone would not have been my first choice but I figured for 34 dollars it was worth it. I live in snowy, salty michigan so I was concerned the tweed fabric would get dirty easily. But so far any dirt or salt marks seem to wipe off with ease. I did not experience any bleeding when I was caught in the rain recently.
I load this bag up and its heavy when lifted by the handle but once placed on my back, it doesnt slow me down at all. Its a very comfortable bag.
The flap is a bit of a pain when getting to things in small spaces as its a stiff material and opens like a garage door. The buckle is nice looking but latches a bit odd. I like the fact that the laptop compartment is separate and not located under the flap. I guess my only real complaint is that my macbook 13 in. swims in the laptop compartment. Its really made for a larger computer. I get compliments on the bag all the time. Its pretty snazzy. ;)

Comment: This is a very slick and professional laptop backpack, with several well-organized comparments. However, it's twice as heavy as my laptop (which ain't no lightweight) and I don't recommend it for grad students.. specially if you're like me and carry your thesis around on your back. DO wish someone would come up with a good-looking yet lightweight bag..

Comment: I ordered and am now toting around the Mobile Edge Paris Backpack. I LOVE this bag. I have a really bad back and carrying my old laptop bag was a pain - literally! The pads on the back of the bag and on the shoulder straps make carrying it a breeze - it's super comfortable! Also, this bag not only has tons of space/pockets inside for all of my cords and wires, etc. but it manages to provide the space and still maintain a sleek and attractive look. I was going to get a regular backpack, but this was a much better choice. I'm so glad that I purchased it - free shipping and it arrived just when Amazon said it would.
