Comment: On the whole it's a sturdy bag that I would actually feel safe tossing with my laptop inside with the assurance that it would probably be ok. It also has a plethora of pockets, a bluetooth sheild pocket(??) and is very sturdy. That being said, the strap sucks and there is no alternative hold point. Since it's kind of important to comfortably carry your bag, I'd have to say don't buy it if you have any back issues. The strap is quite long for an average height person, which causes it to hang too far below your normal center of gravity, which forces you to lean awkwardly, which messes with your back. Shortening it is unreliable and ugly. There is a clamp release for the strap on the side but to shorten it leaves this huge strap bulk flapping on the side of your back. Not to mention if you bump it a little too vigorously it comes loose. And does anyone know what a "waist strap" is for??
Comment: I haul my IBM Thinkpad T60 for work and a light load of papers and tools in this daily to work. I replaced a backpack with this but I'm really thinking of going back to the backpack.
The strap on the bag is not removable and constantly twists up on me. There is an adjustable "bite clamp" that you can use to take up slack in the strap, but it constantly slips and the strap extends to full length again.
The pockets are mostly useful on this, albeit with some really crazy design decisions like a Faraday-cage style shielded pocket for your PDA. Yes, the hax0rz are going to bluesniff you! Protect yourself!
I'd say overall pass on this bag, and spend a little more money. The price point is tempting on this but I wish I had spent a little more and gotten something without the faults of this.
I have also contacted the manufacturer about the defective strap clamp to request an RMA and they never responded to me.
