Moshi PalmGuard Macbook Pro 15-inch Palmrest Protector - Silver

Comment: This was extremely easy to apply and looks great. When applying, it's easy to pull it back off in parts to realign it if it's not going on straight. The protector has slightly more texture than the MacBook Pro itself, but it's more slick. The sweat and oils from my hands and wrists don't stick around like they used to.

Before I bought a MacBook Pro I owned a Powerbook, and there were spots worn into the palm rest after 4 years of use. I started to see the same thing happening on my MacBook Pro, so I decided to buy this protector. So far it's doing a great job at keeping the palm rest looking clean. I'm not a person who likes to place his gadgets in protectors, sleeves, or covers, but this protector is well worth it and doesn't get in the way or look clunky.

Comment: I love this thing! I'm one of those people who gets corrosion on their palm rests, so I HAVE to have a protector, and the Moshi protector beats out my old soft one completely. You can't even tell it's on-- the color and texture match the MacBook Pro exactly. In fact, this protector doesn't seem to show sweat at all- it stays perfectly clean and beautiful.

Be careful when putting it on though, because it is very sticky and while I was able to peel the palm rest part back to fix an air bubble, the touch pad and the clicker pieces seem to be on for good. (I'm sure I could get them off if I tried with an exacto knife or something)

Also, now that the touchpad is covered, it's slightly less sensitive so you have to press down harder- but after a day of using it I don't even notice anymore. And keeping it safe and clean is so worth it.

Comment: As someone who doesn't like to mar the aesthetics of my MacBook Pro with hardshell cases, I was pretty excited when I found out about the Moshi Palmguard. My friend had purchased the same product for his 13-inch white MacBook, and the cut, color and texture matched the original MacBook exactly. The Palmguard for the MacBook Pro is no exception.

The palm rest of the MacBook Pro is pretty susceptible to scratches, especially if you wear a watch or bracelets. The Palmguard offers a great level of protection with it's semi-rigid construction. You can hardly tell it's there once you put it on your computer, and another plus is the fact that Moshi doesn't slap a huge logo on their product either; there is one very tiny, slightly darker grey logo in the lower right corner.

The package says it can only be applied once, however if you're careful, and with some patience, you can take the guard off in case you don't align it properly the first time. It doesn't leave any residue or hinder the closing of the lid. I highly recommended product if you're looking to protect your Mac!
