Summary: Can't remove it 2010-06-23
Comment: I felt stupid buying this thing to begin with -- after all, what's the point of paying $2k for a laptop just to cover it up with cheapo plastic -- but the real problem with this case IS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE. And yes, that is A BAD THING because sometimes you want to clean the computer or sell it and you need to take the thing off. My fingers are all bruised from trying to remove this and its still not off 45 minutes later. Avoid -- cheap case that isn't built to be removed.

Summary: Good product. Doesn't fit new charger 2010-05-23
Comment: Got this case for my 17 inch MacBook Pro, April 2010 refresh. Fits well, except when the case is in place, the new charger must have the cord going running towards the other ports. Unfortunately, this obstructs the ethernet and firewire 800 port. Isn't much of a problem for me, because I use wireless and I don't use the firewire 800 port.

Comment: I bought this case about 3 months ago for my UMBP, So far so good. Instalation was easy and its easy to maintain. I have had no issues with the case, just make sure to remove the case to clean covered areas periodicaly. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to protect the cosmetic condition of their MBPs.

Summary: corner tabs too small and break easily 2010-03-30
Comment: I love the matte black and the texture is non slip. Installed easily and fit perfectly. After three months I removed it for dust cleaning as recommended by Speck and when I put it back on one of the corner tabs that secure the bottom cover to the computer was broken???!!! I am very gentle and careful with my stuff and these tiny corner tabs are a major flaw in an otherwise great product. The plastic seems to be a more flexible ABS type and I had every reason to believe these tiny corner tabs would do their job. But no. So what do I do now to hold the bottom cover on? A giant rubber band? That would look great. To Speck: please fix this.
