SwissGear Laptop Backpack (Black)

Comment: This bag fits my 15 inch widescreen thinkpad, thermos, water bottle, cables, cords, folders, books and all the other stuff I carry around for work. Though I've only used it a few weeks, it feels like a bag that will last me many years. It seems very durable and made of quality materials. Slightly larger in size than I expected, but function over fashion is fine with me.

Comment: Love this pack, I finally feel my computer is secure on my back when cycling into work. Straps are really comfy and secure and it is not bulky, even when filled with my computer, files and some books! Am so delighted with it and the great price I got it for!! Many thanks!

Comment: I was looking for a Swiss Gear backpack that could carry my new 17" Widescreen Laptop. When I read the reviews I, for some reason, thought that this was it, but when I received it the tag on it read 15.5" instead of 17" so I thouhgt there had been a mistake. I came back to the Amazon description to find out that it actually did not specifically read 17". When I red the reviews I found that many people had commented about the 17" backpack although nobody mentioned anything specifically about it. May be they changed it due to other claims, but then again, I am just assuming. Aside from this is a very nice looking backpack but not as versatile and spacious as my previous 15" Swiss Gear backpack. The quality standard is also lower than my previous one, the zippers are not as heavy duty either.

Comment: I bought this for college. I am a computer major, so I always have a lot of stuff-mostly computer and adapters. It will hold my Dell mini, mouse, and dvd player without any trouble and are well protected. I got rear ended the other day and the backpack went flying-my computer still worked though.

The small area in front holds my planner, pens and such. The side pocket holds my bottles without any problem and then zips when not in use so I don't catch it on everything. I keep my MP3 in the pocket on the front strap and it has never come loose.

I am only 5'2" and find this bag a bit heavy with the way I load it down, but not awkward. It adjusts easily right down to my petite frame-something most bags can't do.

The inside however is somewhat disappointing. It is deep-I put in a full sized computer textbook and have plenty of room above to drop things. The front compartment will hold a couple of 1'5" binders or several folders. I like the divider though. It makes it easier to grab out only one folder or binder. I have one class that I use a 4" binder for and it fits tightly in the back compartment without books. Now it is pretty much full. On the days I have 3 classes I still have to carry stuff because it won't hold it. There are two pockets in front of the computer area that are mesh. Don't know what they are for, but I keep catching my books on them when I put them in.

Overall it is worth the price. I can load mine down pretty well and with my hands free I can carry those oversized textbooks the instructors seem to think we can't live without.

Comment: I am not on the Swiss Gear Payroll, but I can not say enough about this Pack. I have bought two over the last 4 years, and they are both still kicking. There is literally a USEFUL spot for everything. I plan on buying 2 more just incase it is taken off of Amazon.com. I can't seem to find it anywhere else.
