Summary: Not the best 2008-11-02
Comment: It's a nice bag and the quality is not bad either. It has many pockets and compartments. There are a couple of things that I do not like with this bag:
1-I was hoping for a closed part for the laptop. The only thing that protects your computer is the big lid. My old bag had a zipper inside for better protection. I don't thing I'm going out with this if it is raining heavily.
2-The shoulder pad thing is weaved so you cannot change its position. It is kind of an annoyance.
Other than those two, I'm happy with the product.

Summary: Fine bag after a few weeks of use, not the best for protecting laptop 2008-11-02
Comment: I like this bag fairly well. It is a bit heavy, but it has good space. I really wanted a bag I could feel safe throwing around with my laptop inside, but this is not quite like that. It is protective of the laptop as long as the bag is not thrown upside down. I think I may get a laptop sleeve for some additional protection. Overall it is a good bag.

Summary: good laptop bag 2008-11-02
Comment: plenty of space for my large laptop and accessories, and of good construction/quality.
I highly recommend buying this bag and Amazon worked great as a seller.

Summary: Love The Case, Great Value - A couple of Things to Know 2008-10-08
Comment: First off, this case (Targus Miami) is exactly what I expected, maybe even a little better. I haven't seen a better one for the price. I've had this for about 4 months now and here's the scoop (for my HP 17" laptop):
Pros:
Computer fits perfectly; snug but not so tight that it's a pain to get in
Nice layout - pockets are well sized to hold normal items and accessories (power cords, spare battery, small hard drives, thumb drives, etc)
Durable materials and good workmanship
Cons:
Top cover flap does NOT extend quite far enough to fully cover the ends of the case. This means that rain can run in a little on the ends. The flap should be a little longer and have a "turn down" on the edge. This is my biggest beef.
Case will not stand up by itself. This is a "small" complaint, and yet it's actually a real pain to lean it against something all the time.
But, overall, this is a great case and a fantastic bargain. I'd buy it again.
