Targus' first Rolling Notebook Backpack combines the best of both worlds. At first glace you can see that it is a stylish, durable backpack with plenty of features but look a bit closer and you can see that it is also a roller. The TSB700 glides on in-line skate wheels and includes a 2-tier telescoping locking handle for easy navigation. A protective rear flap holds the shoulder straps in place when using it as a roller, then lower the flap to cover the wheels for greater comfort when in backpack mode. For additional convenience it has a handle grip on the bottom of the case that allows for easy lifting into your car or an airline overheard compartment. Other features include a padded, removable slip case for notebooks with up to 15.4" screens, top front pocket with protective lining for iPod/MP3 players, PDA or sunglasses, bottom front pocket with business card holder, pen loops and key clip, a main compartment with plenty of file and accessory storage, a large side pocket, even a side mesh water bottle holder. Summary: Targus rolling backpack 2008-11-18
Comment: i've had a targus backpack for years then experienced back/neck and shoulder problems. i ordered the rolling backpack and have been using it for the past few months, since october. i must admit that it is user-friendly and the rollers make it easy to maneuver. since i use it for local and regional travel, i need a product that will comparably hold what the non-roller backpack held. the wheel compartment does take up a bit of space thereby leaving less room for my folders, lunch and computer. also, the "plastic" liner material has a specific odor, resembling that of burnt material, but has dissipated somewhat. nevertheless, i decided to give it more time.
just this morning, while i was loading up for work, i noticed that the outer pocket seam next to the zipper-on the lower left hand side-if the bag is facing you-is frayed. since the product is only a few months old, i am quite dissatisfied. if i could only put a wheel compartment on my old ORIGINAL (authentic) targus.......................

Comment: That backpack is a very hight quality product as Targus is used to do.
First time I used it, I noticed that the shoulder straps have to be attached while rolling as they will go around the wheels.
So impossible to move directly from the back position to rolling. You need first to re-attached the shoulder straps.
Targus should find a solution to switch between the back and rolling mode without any operation.

Comment: This rolling backpack looks better in person and has nice fabric details that are hard to see in the picture. I was surprised to see that it has a removable padded, zippered pouch with handles for my laptop. This is nice for transporting the laptop by itself. It is a little hard to get the backpack zipped up once the laptop pouch is inserted with a laptop inside, but there is another large compartment for binders, folders, books, etc. Unfortunately, you don't get quite as much room for these in the second large compartment as appears in the picture. There's a small flap with Velcro in the back to cover the backpack arm straps to keep them from dragging on the ground in rolling mode, which can be flipped around to cover the wheels when wearing it as a backpack. Overall a very nice product at a good price.

Comment: My Business Partners love this product. There are some they order, the wheels fall off and don't protect against inclimate weather. This does it all. More compartments to carry stuff other than your laptop and accessories.

Summary: Great Notebook backpack for easy laptop transportation 2008-10-16
Comment: I was looking for a Rolling Backpack because I wanted to transport my laptop and books more easily and with less effort, since I carry alot of stuff in there and it's too heavy to carry it on my back all the time. The Targus Rolling Notebook Backpack prove to be a good solution for my needs. It comes with a sleeve for the notebook. The space dedicated for documents is quite big so you can put alot of stuff in there. The telescope handle has different lengths so you can adjust it. Wheels roll smoothly. It has two usefull front pockets to put different stuff in ther. Good price also considering it's a Targus.
