Targus Zip-Thru Air Traveler Case for 17-Inch Laptops TBT046US (Black)

Comment: First of all, this is a handy case with pockets, holders, etc. for the other junk you carry around in your laptop bag. The ability to just unzip it and fold it out for airport security screening vs. having to take it out of the bag is why I purchased it. The dimensions of the case, however, aren't as described - I was replacing another Targus case with the same listed dimensions - but the area for the laptop is smaller and a pretty tight fit compared to the replaced Targus case, and the storage area is smaller, too.

Comment: I spent over an hour choosing a bag for my brand-new Dell laptop, which measures 17x11 inches. This bag, at 18 x 15 x 5 inches according to Amazon, seemed to fit the bill.

Unfortunately, Amazon's description is wrong. When my laptop wouldn't fit, I measured the bag, and found it's barely 17 inches on the outside. There's a Targus hang tag that gives exterior dimensions at 17x13.78x6.5 and laptop compartment at 16.5 inches, which seems accurate, so I don't know why Amazon has wrong dimensions. Yes, I've reported the bad description.

I'm going on a trip tonight and now I can't take my new laptop, so I'm pretty unhappy with Amazon. PLUS, I have to start all over and hope that the next bag I order from Amazon will be accurately described. (There's no selection locally for my size laptop.)

Don't pay any attention to the stars -- Amazon's site wouldn't accept this review unless I put *something*.

Comment: The best computer travel bag I have owned. Holds everything in one place, a quick unzip to put through the airport scanner, and a quick zip to put it back together ready for heading to the airplane. Nothing could be quicker than this. The days of removing the laptop are gone, thank heaven!

Comment: The product is great. I needed to replace my computer bag because of a broken zipper. I had seen this type of bag in a Skymall magazine (not this exact one, but bags with the same concept), and I searched for a similar product on Amazon (better price). First of all, the zippers seem to be really strong, so no issue there. Next, the storage pockets are designed well. I've also gone through airport security now a few times and this is really the great selling point. It saves so much time and aggravation in the security process. So, great bag, great storage, and great through security. Just like they advertise. Big thumbs up!

Comment: I travel with a laptop and several other project drawings/documents. In the past I was forced to carry 2 bags (briefcase & computer bag). This 'all-in-one' type system is great...and this bag is plenty big for my laptop and drawings/documents. Also lots of room for pens/highlighters/business cards/camera...
